Why “I don’t have time” is a myth

DESCRIPTION

Scott Reib runs a six-person law firm. He wanted to get to a million dollars in revenue, but felt he didn’t have the right tools that would help him scale his business to that level. He was also working one to one with clients and didn’t have a way to leverage his expertise and impact people on a one-to-many basis.

He originally wanted to join NextLevelBusiness but the biggest barrier for Scott was time.

The good news is Oli was able to teach Scott a few things that has allowed him to simplify a few things in his life.

In fact, Scott has gone a step further by getting his marketing director to implement everything he’s discovering in NextLevelBusiness for him. This frees up a lot of his time and allows him to implement the campaigns he’s discovering in the program without doing most of the work himself.

TRANSCRIPT

I was running a six-person law firm. Not all lawyers, but six total people trying to get to a million dollars, but not having the right tools to do that, especially from the lead generation side and some of the technical things, and didn't have a real way of going what I would call one-to-many. I'm just working one to one in scaling that sum, but it's still being difficult.

I really only had one hesitation about before I joined Mastermind, and that was my time. Because I'm at this point where I'm really maxed out with the clients I have in my programme and then my family, I really don't have very much time. Time is very valuable to me, and I knew it would take time to be an active participant in the Mastermind. And so that was really my concern is that I would not be able to be as involved as I needed to be, and Oli convinced me that if I would commit, that I would he would help me free up the time.

My mind is changed and my kind of perception has changed because he's taught me a few things in the few months I've been in about having to try to simplify some of the things in my life. He talks about eliminating things from your life, delegating certain things. And so I've already been from learning these things be able to take some things out off my plate, put them on someone else's plate, and then some things are just gone to where it's created enough time where I'm now… We do four calls a month, basically. I'm able to at least get on half of those calls, which has been really good, and I can see over the next few months that I will have freed up enough more time to be on even more of those calls to get more of that information.

What I'm kind of doing is I've got a marketing director person at my firm, and so they're able to go through the course work after I have, and then I can give them instructions and they actually understand because we're all using the same language. So, they can then go on to Infusionsoft, click files, pull in the campaigns that you guys have created for us, and then actually start implementing those with our custom copy.

This is actually day three of my first Mastermind meeting, and I now see a direction that I need to go and so the steps that I can take to actually get to a place of more freedom and more money. Either one of those would be great, but if I can do both of those, that's going to be really phenomenal.

There's been huge value, I think, in just being in this Mastermind and kind of getting to know the other business owners. The group, it's really weird. It's a very diverse group, lots of different types of businesses, but we are all struggling with the same things and our business goals are kind of very similar and we're in very similar situations. And so starting to form those relationship where I have someone besides Oli to kind of bounce things off of ideas I'm doing or maybe something's not working for me that they said was working for them, how they can kind of help me tweak it. And so that's really been kind of a cool kind of extra benefit to working with Oli in the Next Level Mastermind.
