My life was pretty awesome before I joined Next Level, and yet I knew that there was so much more I could be doing with the time freedom I already enjoyed if I understood the systems and the processes that would help me automate things in the entrepreneurial businesses I was growing as well as in my practise. I knew I was standing in my own way, but I didn't really understand how. I thought it was all about the fact that I didn't have systems in place.
Then another mentor that I have mentioned to me, “It's not that at all. It's just the fact that what you're striving for really doesn't mean that much to you even though you think it does, even though you think it's aligned with your life purpose, even though you think all this stuff, you'll never achieve this. You'll always shoot yourself in the foot.”
It wasn't until today, in fact, that I really understood what that mentor was trying to tell me and what I learned here in this room, in this amazing mastermind, Next Level Scale, because what was revealed was the problem with me was I really wasn't challenging myself, that I had not set a big enough desired outcome that far exceeded the monetary compensation that I receive on a daily basis to make it worth my time to get excited about. That one thing was worth five years investment in this.
Honestly, the thing that made me hesitate was I am in a transition point, and you know, ideally you would think that you would want to have everything perfect and optimised before you invested in a program like this that will require more time and more energy output because you know, you're giving to a group here. This is a mastermind. This isn't just you doing your own thing. This is really you helping other people and growing from their experience, and that that takes time and energy.
I already had things with my family and my primary practise that take away energy. The real question for me was, do I have enough energy to get enough out of this and to contribute to this to really feel like it's the right time to apply? Sometimes you think it's going to be a big transition, but sometimes it's just a little thing that needs to be uncovered for you to feel so much better and to make the next leap.
You know, I thought it was going to be some big, hard thing, and no, it really is not. You know, that changed everything. So far the biggest result for me was in this period of transition, well from selling one business and looking forward to investing those assets and creating the next thing in my serial entrepreneur journey as a physician is really getting the clarity on where to place my time to make it pay and be scalable because the last thing you want to do is start a new business or get involved in a business that ultimately you can't sell or scale.
If you don't have an exit strategy, it doesn't matter. This obviously showed me where I'm wasting time and clearly told me, “Do this, do this just this way, and you can succeed because here's the proof.” I was truly at a point of almost complete standstill because of the situation with my family and the maturity of my medical practise and us in the process of selling the practise.
I mean, there's just some inertia with all of that. Now I see a way forward. I know each individual step I need to take, and I have a whole group of people who are cheering me on and that I'm cheering them on so that we're all moving together. It's amazing.
